What will it involve?
Your skin care practitioner will complete a detailed consultation to establish your skin type, condition, and your skin care improvement goals, all of which will determine the most suitable treatment and planning to suit you.
A Laser consultation is essential prior to taking any of the laser treatments.
Followng a skin cleanse the Nlite laser is applied.
The Nlite laser energy is delivered to affected areas on the skin surface, whereby it safely treats the wart lesion, targeting and suppressing the wart virus (HPV – Human Papillomanvirus) and breaking it down into microscopic particles, which are then disposed of through the skin’s natural eliminating process.
Why have the procedure?
Nlite is ideal for all skin types and ethnic origins up to skin type 4.
Types of wart lesions we can treat are:
• Wart on the body
• Veruca on the feet
• We do not treat genital warts
Does it hurt?
Each individual has varied pain threshold to the laser energy delivered to the wart. Care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
Generally up to 3 treatments are advised to reduce a wart. However several more treatments may be required to remove a larger wart.
The application of topical treatment lotion in conjunction to the Nlite laser treatment may speed up the destruction process.
How quickly will I see the results?
Immediately after the laser application, red dotted bruising will appear over the treated area of the skin. This is normal and a part of the skin’s defense system to deal with the destruction and removal of the lesion.
The healing process can vary from 10 to 28 days, depending on the type of wart lesion and location on the face or body, and the intensity with which we treat the lesion.
How long will the results last?
Following a course of treatments the wart lesion will be destroyed. The results, however, depend on many factors, such as the persistence of the virus, how one cares for the skin post treatment, and lifestyle.
