Anti Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections involve several injections to relax the muscles where their activity causes lines and wrinkles.

The procedure involves injecting botulinum toxin type A, a purified protein commonly known as Botox ® that blocks the nerve signal from your brain to your muscles, causing them to temporarily relax thus limiting movement of certain muscles.

The result is that the skin of the area treated becomes smoother and unwrinkled and appears younger offering a natural, rejuvenated look.

More FAQ’S

What will the treatment involve?
Your medical practitioner will complete a thorough consultation.
The area to be treated is cleansed and then the botulinum toxin solution is injected into the wrinkle-causing muscles.
The treatment takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Allow extra time if you want the application of the local anesthetic.

Why have the procedure?
Anti-wrinkle Injections are known for being a quick procedure and providing undeniable results, which makes this the most popular anti-ageing cosmetic treatment available.
This treatment will be excellent to treat:
•    Frown lines (between eyebrows)
•    Brow Lift
•    Crows feet (lines at the side of the eyes)
•    Forehead lines
•    Chin
•    Downturned mouth
•    Excess sweating

Are anti-wrinkle injections safe?
Botulinum toxin has been in medical use for more than four decades and thousands of men and women have received Anti-winkle injections in the UK every year.
Botulinum toxin is administered in such a way that it only affects your muscles and sweat glands and it does not reach any other part of the body.
Providing the Anti-wrinkle injections are administered by a medical practitioner the risks are extremely minimal.
Anti-wrinkle injections are administered by our medical expert doctor and nurse prescriber to ensure that quality and safety is paramount.

Does it hurt?
The procedure is generally pain free as a local anesthetic is applied to the treated area prior to the administration of the injections. If you opt out of the local anesthetic a mild discomfort can be experienced due to the small needle injections involved. Care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible.
As with all injections there may be some mild temporary discomfort and redness in the direct injection site which subsides quickly.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?
One treatment is required every 3 to 6 months to keep the desired look.
Depending on the severity of the lines and wrinkles, dermal filler may be recommended along with the Anti-wrinkle Injection, as the Botulinum toxin can stop the repetitive action but the wrinkle may be too deep to be smoothed out alone.

How quickly will I see the results?
You will see results 4 to 10 days after a single treatment.

How long will the results last?
The results can last 3 to 6 months.
